E-Mail Notifications

Back at the other site, I would always get an email notification when I thread. I was subscribed to was replied to. That functionality does not seem to be working here. Is this something that needs to be fixed? I have chosen the option to be notified by email in my profile, but I have not seen anything yet.

A suggestion: add the number for the posts within a thread.
Unless I missed it, each post within a thread shows the post number, ie, #1, #2, #3, etc.
Can be useful to refer back to another post, especially as this place grows like it is.

Email is currently not working YET. I am trying to get it working as soon as i can. Self hosted email is pretty much a thing of hte past, so I am researching different providers that will be able to handle the email services reliably.

My forum uses gmail. and you can have gmail forwarded to your own email address. Also gmail can email for sign up and use email verification. My forum uses Simple Machine software.

I was literally checking out at namecheap when i heard a loud bang, and then my internet went out. I will sort this out in a bit.

Internet's back and spent the past few hours messing with email and setting up accounts, only to find 465 is blocked at the host. I have a ticket in to get that open. Once it's open, the emails should start flowing.
