Maintaining a S&W Nickel Revolver

Post by nlm2 »

Before shooting this, I was wondering what I need to do special to keep the Nickel at 100% and not damage the Nickel.

I normally used Break Free for cleaning and a silicon cloth for wiping it down for Blued and Stainless revolvers and automatics.

Much appreciated!

I do not recall seeing anything in the manual, but I will look again.

To my best knowledge , solvents with ammonia can harm a nickel finish . Break Free has no ammonia so it should be fine . Stay away from Hoppes #9 it does have ammonia.
